Episode 88: 24th October 2019

Lord Bilimoria, electric cars, The Art of Thinking Clearly and The REAL Entrepreneur get thrown into the mix this week.

Hardly a day goes by that the subject of electric cars comes up in conversation and this week we take a look at some of the practical and financial advancements that have already come into play. From tax breaks to subsidised charging points at home and work it seems the dream of electric car technology as the way forward is fast becoming a reality.

In other news we focus on the plight of working fathers and their rights to flexible working, take a look at some good news for social enterprise and not for profits and spend a moment to ponder Black Friday, its origins and what it means for both consumer and business owner.

We discover a couple of great books that you might like to put on your wish list The Art Of Thinking Clearly by Rolf Dobelli and The Real Entrepreneur by Lisa Zevi.

Ahead of our visit to the Festival Of Enterprise next week we decide to profile the headline speaker Lord Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer and former CBI Chief with an interesting backstory and business journey.
