In this week we discuss IQ, EQ and CQ with a focus on curiosity, we take a look at how to empower teams and profile the father of marketing, Josiah Wedgwood.
We all know about the Intelligence Quotient and the Emotional Quotient well it seems that the future is set for those with the Curiosity Quotient to shine. Although only appearing on our radar recently it seems, curiously that this isn’t a new concept and so we were curious (see what we did there?), to explore what this actually means.
News and events see us taking a look farther into the future than normal as we start to think about planning ahead:
The UK Business Leader Awards 2019 are calling for submissions and there are sponsorship opportunities available.
Our events this week:
The Business Growth Export Show – Shrewsbury – 23rd November
North Wales Means Business – Llandudno – 29th November
Mind The Product Engage – Manchester – 8th February 2019
This week we review the book Empower Your Team To Thrive by Alison and David Price is both easy to read and informative.
Seeking out Gurus often sees us looking back in time and this week we target the founder of marketing as we know it today, Josiah Wedgwood was the first to coin phrases like ‘money back guarantee’, ‘buy one get one free’ and ‘direct mail’.
We don’t have any quotes from Mr Wedgwood although we still managed to get a sense of the man and his commitment to his workforce and philanthropic activities.
