It’s Business Community as usual this week (see what I did there?) and we are nothing if not topical with our discussions.
As we were on air Wonga was picking up the phone to the administrators and during this show we focus on job losses, their place in the market and what role Credit Unions have to play more generally in 2018.
We have a cocktail of events for your diary with a very much local feel to them all.
- 360 Degree Networking – Wrexham – September 4th
- Sharepoint and GDPR – Llay – September 6th
- Employment Law Update – Wrexham – September 19th
- Celtic Business Network – Mold – August 31st
- Social Enterprise Conference – Wrexham – 16th November
Our review this week is an oldie but a goodie, although Tracy had some reservations about the ‘hard sell’ that has now become part of Fish!. If the idea of working unsociable hours in a cold, smelly fish market doesn’t float your boat you might want to think again. That’s exactly what they did at Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle. Find out all about it at FISH!
We had to mind our P’s and Q’s (and avoid childish sniggering at all costs) as we discuss this week’s Business Personality. She is reported to be the 16th richest woman in the UK (This Is Money May 2016), and at one time was named as the second most influential women in Retail (Retail Week 2007). Daughter of Ann Summers’ Founder David Gold she is Jacqueline Summers Gold.
Remember, you are the community and we welcome your comments below. Please keep them kind or at least be constructive in your criticisms.
